Istanbul, Kayseri, Göreme, Ankara, Kars and those places in-between.

In Istanbul, a bridge spanning the Bosphorus River connects continental Europe with Asia. I am where East truly meets West. An ancient, exotic and proud place where endless cups of iridescent copper-coloured chai are taken sweetly and slowly on every corner. Sprawling metropoli and elegant minarets give way to snow-capped mountains, frozen lakes and fertile farms. The scents of fresh fish and roasting kebap permeate the air. The call to prayer echoes through the open valleys and narrow streets alike, waking me at dawn and lulling me to sleep in the evening. A journey across an ancient land, from west to east and back again. A journey undertaken alone with careful consideration and one not soon to be forgotten.
